The Catenian Association was formed in 1908 and is a men’s organisation. Members come from a wide variety of professions and businesses. Several members of the Parish are members and benefit greatly from the fellowship and friendship which the Association offers.
The Catholic Faith is the bedrock of the Association and members encourage each other to apply Catholic values in their jobs and family life. Members support one another in sickness and in health by caring for each other at every stage. This includes supporting the widows of deceased members and helping members who suffer misfortune in their lives.
Our friendship is enhanced by the many social events enjoyed by members and their families.
Support to young Catholics is important to the Association with a Bursary Fund which gives financial support to any Catholic aged 16 to 25 years who undertakes community work at home or abroad.
The deep and lasting friendships, built on the solid foundation of shared faith and values, ensure a member is never alone, whatever the difficulties he or a member of his family encounters over the years.
