Ss Mary and Modwen is the Catholic Church in the town centre of Burton-upon-Trent which is part of the Archdiocese of Birmingham. While the current parish church was built in 1879 the historic links of the parish go back to its patron, St Modwen, who founded a church in the town in the 7th Century. Today, the parish continues to be a place of welcome and prayer for its parishioners and visitors to the area. PLEASE NOTE COVID-19 – For your safety our current online and live service provisions as well as Covid-19 procedures are in line with Government and Diocesan guidelines. Our Masses are supervised by Stewards. On entering the church you are asked to wear a face covering, sanitise your hands and follow our Steward’s guidance. There is access to toilet facilities from within church. If you have Covid-19 symptoms, out of respect for your fellow parishioners, please do not enter the church. Thank you for your co-operation.
